Firmware update
Note:
- Everything that is written here goes for updating to a newer firmware release or for downgrading to a former firmware release.
- When installing a pre-2025.0 firmware, the former Web‑based Management will be installed with it. For proceeding on that user interface, see WBM access and first steps.
Getting a firmware file
- Download the firmware file from the regarding product page on the Phoenix Contact website. In its Firmware section you find all firmware versions and hotfixes that are available for your PLCnext Control device.
Hint: In the right-side panel of this WBM 2 page you'll find a link which leads you directly to the product page for your device; if that panel has been collapsed, re-open it by means of the icon in the lower-right corner.
